How do you jump the chasm from being a niche, organic product to a household brand? Hired as the first MBA in this entrepreneurial company, I set milestones on the rocket-ship ride from $80M to $400M in revenue for the flagship Silk brand–becoming the largest organic brand in the world. Highlights included: sustaining an 80% share, writing the first-ever marketing plan, conducting the first market research, selecting a new ad agency (Berlin Cameron—propelling them to Agency of the Year) and spearheading a difficult, but very successful, Class One recall. During the transition to Dean Foods' ownership, I led Marketing & Planning Services for the combined $1.3B company—including Silk, Horizon Organic and International Delight brands.
